“Golden Week” is Japanese long term vacation week.
Generally it is from the last week in April to first week in May.
On this term, so many Japanese people would be moving a lot for like leisure or travel.
In this week Fukuoka has a big festival named “Dontaku”.
There are a lot of street stalls lining on the roadside, some different events is going on around Hakata and Tenjin town, you know, I would say it’s the biggest festival in Kyushu.
One of those festival’s events, they have a cosplay parade.
Anyone can participate this parade though you need to apply and pay some fee(2,000yen) in advance.
It’s going on 5/4 in this year.
If you love cosplay, apply for this event right now!
Daimyo is one of area in Tenjin town, Fukuoka.
You can go this area with walking into some alleys from main streets:Nishi-street and Kokutai-street, and a lot of young guys are walking and hanging out in this area.
I would like to show you some nice shops!
Daimyo soft cream – 大名ソフトクリーム
They make a people matrix everyday, cute and tasty soft cream.
We went Takachiho gorge in Miyazaki prefecture.
This is really nice spot to feel great nature.
There are lot of tourists everyday, walking around trails, visiting some mysterious shrines, getting on boat and explore gorge.
If you are not good at rowing a boat, you might be inhaled to waterfall and getting wet.Yes it is like me.
Yanagawa is a little bit far from a central city of Fukuoka, but it’s a very popular tourists spot.
There are traditional japanese atmosphere and townscape.
You can walk around and shopping some souvenirs, find a comfortable cafe and have a cup of coffee, and a thing must-to-do is a punting tour.
Tourists get on a boat and go river punting.
This tiny boat is going on along a moat and you would have a nice time to see the peaceful Japanese-like scenery.
It is also interesting the traditional costume that boatman wares, if you want to feel more Japanesm, you can rent a beautiful Japanese kimono or yukata.
It is the mustard lotus root that my friend gave me as his souvenir from Kumamoto.
I would say simply about it, putting a lot mustard into lotus root’s holes and then fry it after coat with flour and some seasonings.
Of course may be not only that’s simple though, anyway that’s like it.
It tastes … just spicy, you know, because just a lot of mustard in it.
I think if you like drinking, it’ll be good with it!
